Tritherm 2-Port Motorised Zone Valve
The Tritherm 2-Port Motorised Zone Valve is designed to control the flow of water in iron and copper pipe systems. While specifically engineered for small bore domestic central heating systems, its robust design also makes it suitable for commercial and industrial applications.

Application and Installation
This valve is an essential component for S-Plan heating systems and underfloor heating manifolds, allowing for precise zoning of heating and hot water.
- Orientation: The valve may be plumbed at any angle, provided the valve head is not below the horizontal level of the pipework, preventing safety hazards in case of leaks.
- Safety: The manual lever is designed for filling and draining purposes only and should normally be left in the ‘AUTO’ position.
- Fitting: Includes standard compression fittings. Always use a spanner (32mm or 141′′AF) on the valve body ports while tightening nuts—never grip the valve head.

Flow Characteristics
The valve is designed for efficient flow with minimal pressure drop. The table below approximates the flow rates based on the provided performance curves for different valve sizes (Kv values).
Flow Rate vs. Pressure Drop
| Pressure Drop (mwc) | Flow Rate (l/min) – Kv 3.0 | Flow Rate (l/min) – Kv 6.9 | Flow Rate (l/min) – Kv 8.6 |
| 1.0 | ~12 | ~35 | ~45 |
| 2.0 | ~18 | ~50 | ~65 |
| 3.0 | ~25 | ~60 | ~80 |
| 4.0 | ~30 | ~70 | ~90 |
| 5.0 | ~35 | ~80 | ~100 |
