Tritherm 3-Port Motorised Zone Valve
The Tritherm 3-Port Motorised Valve is a high-performance diverter valve designed to control the flow of water in small bore domestic central heating systems. Capable of handling systems up to 90,000 Btu/h (26 KW), this valve manages the circulation between the radiator circuit and the hot water cylinder.

Efficient System Control (Y-Plan)
This valve is typically used in Y-Plan (Mid-Position) configurations. It acts as a diverter to direct hot water from the boiler to where it is needed most.
-
Port A: Directs flow to the Radiator(s).
-
Port B: Directs flow to the Hot Water Cylinder.
-
Mid-Position: Can allow flow to both simultaneously when demand is high.

Hydraulic Performance
The valve maintains efficient flow rates with minimal pressure drop. The following graph data represents the relationship between pressure drop and flow rate for different valve sizes (Kv values).
Flow vs. Pressure Drop Characteristics
| Pressure Drop (mwc) | Flow Rate (l/min) – K.V. 6.0 | Flow Rate (l/min) – K.V. 8.1 |
| 0.5 | ~18 | ~25 |
| 1.0 | ~28 | ~38 |
| 2.0 | ~40 | ~55 |
| 3.0 | ~50 | ~70 |
| 4.0 | ~60 | ~85 |
| 5.0 | ~70 | ~95 |
